Vital Reds Review – Does It Really Work?

Energy and wellness supplements are the latest craze right now, and for good reason. Many people are struggling to find the health and wellness they need to make it through an exhausting day.

This is where supplements such as vital reds really shine. Gundry MD Vital Reds has all the nutrients and vitamins you need to be healthier and enhance your natural energy levels.

Lots of people turn to energy drinks, which further deplete their body’s natural nutrients and artificially stimulate your body to keep going. This is far from healthy and can have damaging effects on your mitochondrial function, and long-term wellness.

The great thing about Dr Gundry’s vital reds is that it starts working quickly. The very first day you take it you’ll notice a change in your energy levels. Dr Steven Gundry’s website claims that most people feel a smooth, non-jittery increase of energy on the very first day, with the most noticeable effects within 3 weeks.

How Does Vital Reds Help?

Vital Reds contains a unique formula created by Dr Gundry MD made up of essential vitamins, nutrients, polyphenols, probiotics, and herbs. The majority of the ingredients that make up vital reds have had promising research and studies done on them which proved their health boosting effects.

The ingredients in vital reds benefit every aspect of your well-being. Better digestion, increased energy levels, aging support, antioxidants, and immune system function are just a few of the benefits this formula has to offer.

The probiotics that are included in vital reds are some of the most well-studied and effective probiotics to date. There’s a lot of new research emerging, especially on bacillus coagulans, and so far it seems incredibly safe and promising for a huge variety of health conditions.

The vitamins they have included in vital reds are all energy promoting vitamins which have been around for awhile, and have been shown to be safe and effective.

One of the key ingredients in this formula is their polyphenol blend. Polyphenols are special compounds that come from fruits and vegetables in very small amounts. While research is still ongoing, these compounds have been showing a lot of promise in reducing the risk of certain diseases such as strokes and heart attacks. They have also shown promise and reducing the risk of atherosclerosis, and improving the tone and function of blood vessels.

Mix-ability and Taste

When mixed with a glass of water, this vital reds tastes like a mixed berry drink. The flavor is not too strong or too sweet and actually tastes quite good for a supplement powder.

Vital reds is very good at blending, and there are no lumps, or hard to blend ingredients as opposed to many other supplements.

My Personal Experience

I personally bought a bottle of Dr Gundry’s vital Reds and took it for 30 days until it ran out. I took it first thing in the morning before I ate anything and kept a journal with my results.

I’ve taken lots of supplements in the past, so I can honestly say that it was very easy to mix and actually tasted pretty good. I took it on an empty stomach and it seemed to go down just fine, no upset stomach or other side effects.

I didn’t really feel anything for about an hour, but soon realized that I was very focused on the work I was doing. I felt like I had more energy and motivation to accomplish the (boring) project I was working on.

I didn’t feel jittery or any of those other side effects that come with drinking a typical energy drink or taking other supplements.

The energy seemed to last throughout the day. After work I went to the gym and had a great cardio session. I won’t say it did anything super incredible for the gym, although I definitely had a little bit more energy and ran farther than I had intended to.

Throughout the next couple of weeks the effects were the same, but slightly more pronounced. It’s hard to describe, but overall my body just felt more “clean”. I had more motivation to get my work done, and it was easier to get through stressful days.

Now that I’ve ran out I can definitely say that I will be purchasing it again. The productivity increase, smooth energy boost, and overall good feeling it gave me are more than worth the cost of the product to me.

Product and Ingredient Breakdown

Thiamin (Vitamin B1)

Thiamin(also known as vitamin B1) is an essential part of our bodies daily functioning. It helps primarily in the nervous system, helping to complete important messaging functions between the brain, heart, intestines, and stomach. When the body lacks Thiamin(B1) it starts to have trouble with nerve signaling, leading to various diseases and generalized malaise.

Thiamin is often given to patients who suffer from diseases such as AIDS, Cataracts, heart disease, and kidney disease. Vital reds contains a great dosage of Thiamine. If you’re looking to boost your intake even more, consider looking to whole food alternatives.

Foods high in this vitamin are:

  • Grains
  • Nuts
  • Red Meat
  • Eggs
  • Potatoes
  • Asparagus
  • Kale

Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)

Riboflavin (also know as vitamin B2) is another essential B vitamin which is involved in a plethora of functions throughout the body. It is most notably required for cell growth and function. In

recent years riboflavin has shown promise in reducing migraine attacks and preventing tension headaches. A low level of riboflavin has been noted in some migraine sufferers.

Riboflavin is often used for the prevention of cancer, acne, eye problems, and muscular cramping.

Niacin (Vitamin B3)

Niacin (also known as vitamin B3) is well known for its effects on cholesterol. Niacin is often used to lower LDL (bad cholesterol) and increase HDL (good cholesterol). Niacin is also extremely useful for boosting mental function and improving memory. People deficient in Niacin often notice brain fog or other mental symptoms.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is an important vitamin that helps the effectiveness of other B vitamins. People who regularly consume alcohol are often low in B6. This vitamin is also useful for preventing peripheral neuropathy.

Folate

Folate (better known as folic acid) is an extremely important vitamin. It is often prescribed in prenatal supplements to expecting mothers, as it is crucial for the development of the baby. This vitamin is important for both children and adults as well. It helps in almost every aspect of the body, as it is one of the building blocks to create DNA. Some people have genetic issues which prevent them from properly processing the folic acid form of folate, so supplementing with the methylfolate version of folate is something worth discussing with your doctor.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 goes hand in hand with folate, and is probably one of the vitamins you’ve heard most about. If you’re deficient in vitamin B12 you will notice fatigue, brain fog, and general lethargy. Vitamin B12 and folate work together throughout the body to repair cellular damage and build new tissues and cells. Many people are deficient in this vitamin since adequate levels of stomach acid are required in order to extract it from the foods you eat.

Biotin

Biotin is most known for its ability to speed hair and nail growth, but it also plays other roles in the body. One of its most important functions is creating enzymes which help to break down food

and other substances in the body.

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5)

Pantothenic acid (also known as vitamin B5) is also important for creating enzmes in the body which break down fats and foods. One of it’s most important functions is it’s help in the creation of red blood cells. Red blood cells carry oxygen throughout the body, so this is an extremely important vitamin for all aspects of health. Some people have also noticed mental health benefits from pantothenic acid, such as reduced anxiety.

Selenium

Selenium is a mineral which is crucial for a properly functioning immune system. Selenium helps create immune cells throughout the body, and is a powerful antioxidant which helps to neutralize dangerous free radicals.

Chromium

Chromium is a unique mineral that helps to slow appetite and improve response to insulin. This can help to lower blood sugar and help maintain a healthy weight.

Polyphenol Blend

While there are too many ingredients to go into each and every one, they all have the same general properties – high polyphenol counts. Polyphenols are compounds which are found in certain plants. Polyphenols provide many health benefits, some of which include: better digestion, prevention of diseases such as heart disease, lowering your risk for cancer, lowering blood sugar, preventing blood clots, and improving mental function.

The plants which are included in the polyphenol blend are some excellent choices which are loaded with polyphenols. Dr Gundry has definitely done his research when it comes to fruits and vegetables which include the highest counts of polyphenols.
